A leading consulting group in Plymouth is seeking a Disability Assessor to conduct client assessments and produce reports for the Department for Work and Pensions. You will have the opportunity to work full-time or part-time with an excellent starting salary. This role requires an NMC registered nurse or HCPC qualified professional with good communication skills and the ability to work with diverse conditions. Outstanding training and support will be provided.
The Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 to 4 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a well-established, people focused organisation. You'll receive outstanding training and support to ensure you are the best you can be in your new role!
