Job summary

InterDigital Europe, Ltd. is seeking a patent attorney with extensive video compression expertise to join its Licensing Support team.

You will engage in licensing discussions, provide technical insight in litigation, and collaborate across patent portfolio managers and prosecution teams to advance InterDigital’s video codec licensing strategy. The role requires strong presentation skills for claim charts and cross-functional collaboration, with occasional travel to support licensing negotiations

Qualifications

• Expert in video compression technologies.
• US/EP patent attorney with licensing experience.
• Extensive experience presenting and defending patent claim charts in licensing negotiations.
• Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional teams and portfolio development.

Responsibilities

• Significant participation in licensing and litigation patent assertion projects for video services and streaming, handsets and tablets, and consumer electronics devices.
• Review and develop patent claim charts and technical presentations for licensing use, based on video codec standards.
• Collaborate with licensing support technical leads and infringement analysis engineers to develop licensing materials.
• Develop patent assertion strategies with the license negotiation team.
• Work with portfolio managers and prosecution teams to enhance the video codec patent portfolio.
• Assist enforcement with evaluation and technical understanding of patents.
• Stay current with case law and licensing-related issues; participate in patent acquisitions as needed.
