Role Purpose

This role sits within the Accelerator Group, a division focused on providing valuation advice across key growth areas in commercial real estate. The role is principally attached to the Corporate Valuation Services team, working alongside specialists in data centres, life sciences, and compulsory purchase.

The Corporate Valuation Services team is the market leader in providing valuation advice to corporate occupier clients. The position has an international scope, with assignments across EMEA and worldwide, and may require travel for inspections and client meetings. Adaptability, flexibility, and clear communication with a wide range of stakeholders are essential.

The candidate will lead complex valuation and advisory reports, manage and coordinate valuation assignments with colleagues across the UK and globally, and oversee a team of junior colleagues. Their focus will be on the food production and cold storage industry, including complex trading valuations, while being able to work flexibly across other assignments as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct valuation and advisory work for loan security, accounting, fund reporting, acquisition, investment, and other purposes.
  • Perform physical property inspections, including complex properties.
  • Manage opportunity records up to execution and report accurately to senior team members.
  • Execute technical aspects of property due diligence and review valuation data.
  • Select appropriate comparables, perform analysis, and draw conclusions.
  • Perform valuation modelling (including DCF modelling), calculations, and analysis, supporting senior valuers on more complex valuations.
  • Maintain close liaison with clients to ensure high‑quality advice is consistently delivered.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues on business development, RFPs, and pitch activities.
  • Gather and share relevant market intelligence and support senior members with value‑add tasks.
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior team members to develop management skills.
  • Mentor and manage a small group of direct reports.
  • Work flexibly across sectors and services within the division, supporting other divisions as required.
Person Specification / Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field.
  • MRICS qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years post‑qualification experience.
  • Knowledge of property valuation methodologies and techniques, especially investment and trading.
  • Proficiency with valuation software such as Argus Enterprise & Developer and Excel.
  • Proficiency in reporting and data analytical tools to drive operational efficiency and reduce data entry errors.
  • Strong understanding of property market trends and factors influencing property values.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in property valuation.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professional skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and support senior valuers, and independently when efficient and productive.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, building good relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate, and meet deadlines. Comfortable working under pressure in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
