Job summary

Premier Research Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Director, Study Start Up to lead SSU activities across regional teams and ensure timely startup of trials in collaboration with sponsors and sites.

You will oversee SSU teams, manage staffing and resources, drive timelines, and partner with global groups to standardize processes while maintaining regulatory compliance and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in clinical, scientific or health field.
• 7–9 years of health sciences experience; clinical trials support or pharma industry preferred.
• Direct experience in study start-up roles highly preferred.
• 5–7 years of personnel management experience leading larger groups.
• Expertise in ICH/GCP and ISO14155; knowledge of country-specific regulatory requirements.
• Working knowledge of FDA/European Regulatory and EC procedures as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for SSU performance across the assigned region.
• Manage staffing and resources to optimize regional utilization.
• Drive SSU teams to meet project timelines.
• Collaborate with VP to determine, improve, streamline, and apply global SSU efficiencies.
• Ensure SSU processes are proactive and completed per contractual agreement; apply risk management.
