Join the Group AI Management and Strategy (AIMS) team, where your leadership will be instrumental in accelerating the commercialisation and delivery of AI/ML across HSBC. This is not just a role; it’s a platform to influence the strategic direction of AI technology enablement, governance, and the Group‑wide AI Strategy. Your contributions will resonate throughout the organisation, fostering responsible development practices and establishing common platforms and capabilities.

Your Impact:

In this transformative role, you will lead the design and delivery of the Productivity Suite application, a tool that empowers over 200,000 colleagues to achieve peak efficiency. You will be at the forefront of AI innovation, driving impact at the intersection of technology and human capital. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of Product Owners, guiding them to create scalable, cost‑effective solutions that are re‑usable across the organisation.

In this role, duties will include:
  • Visionary Leadership: Owning the long‑term product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with HSBC's strategic goals.
  • Team Empowerment: Leading and mentoring a team of Product Owners, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partnering with Technical Leads to refine high‑level requirements, ensuring seamless design and development across pods.
  • Feedback Integration: Establishing processes to capture and prioritise requirements, engaging with colleagues to refine and enhance the Productivity Suite.
  • Data‑Driven Decisions: Setting team goals and success metrics, utilising MI to make informed product decisions that drive organisational success.
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:
Technical:
  • Extensive experience in product ownership roles and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, product teams, and senior leadership.
  • Expertise in Generative AI technologies, including prompt engineering and large language models (LLMs), as well as familiarity with large‑scale business transformation through analytics and AI/ML.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the product development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to using data to drive adoption and engagement, ensuring effective product features.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, compliance, and controls, along with awareness of cybersecurity and data privacy threats, particularly in the LLM space, to protect sensitive financial data.
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements in the financial services industry, such as GDPR, Data Sharing, and CCPA, to ensure compliance and strategic decision‑making.
