Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Director of Town Planning to lead a diverse portfolio of planning projects from Cardiff and across the UK. You will provide high-level strategic advice, manage complex applications, and drive business development while growing the Cardiff team.

The role requires MRTPI with significant planning consultancy experience, operating at Associate Director or Director level, and a proven track record of client relationships and leadership.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualified with significant planning consultancy experience.
• Operating at Associate Director, Director or equivalent level.
• Experienced across a broad range of sectors and planning projects.
• Confident managing complex planning matters and providing strategic advice.
• Commercially astute with a strong track record of client management and business development.
• Able to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
• An experienced people manager who enjoys mentoring and developing teams.
• A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Ambitious, proactive and keen to play a key role in the continued growth of a successful planning consultancy.
• A strong team player with the ability to contribute at both local office and national level.
