Royal Mail Group is seeking a visionary Director of Architecture to lead the Solution Architecture function across its tech estate. You will shape enterprise blueprints, standards and roadmaps, guiding a federated team of architects and partnering with senior leaders to deliver strategic technology outcomes.

Hybrid working in London or Sheffield with three days on site, you will drive cloud-first practices, governance and architectural quality to unlock business value in a £100m+ tech portfolio.

Competenze

• Proven experience leading architecture functions in large organisations.
• Deep expertise in solution and enterprise architecture with cloud knowledge (Azure & GCP).
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to influence at executive level and drive change.

Mansioni

• Lead and mature the Solution Architecture function across the Royal Mail estate.
• Translate enterprise strategy into solution-level blueprints, standards and roadmaps.
• Oversee architecture assurance, governance and design quality for major programmes.
• Guide a large federated community of architects (c.50) through modern ways of working.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native, platform-led and product-aligned architecture practices.
• Partner with senior business and technology leaders to shape investment and delivery decisions.
• Hold internal teams and strategic partners to account for quality and value.
