bAero Gear is seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented, innovative leader with a strategic and financial mindset to fill this key management role. You will operate in an environment involving the procurement of raw materials, as well as key components, such as machined parts, bearings and hardware to support our assembly operations. You will be deeply involved with planning, production control and inventory management and the performance of factory operations.
bThis individual will develop and implement robust systems and processes to ensure the efficient flow of materials, maximize production output, minimize costs, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. The Director will lead and mentor a team of production planners, schedulers, buyers, and inventory control specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
bOverall, you will be comfortable both in the world of planning, purchasing and supplier management, as well as operations. There will be many opportunities to apply your prior experience in continuous improvement utilizing Kaizen and lean manufacturing techniques to optimize our operations.
bIf you are a person with a background in purchasing and supply management, and/or prior experience in planning, production control, manufacturing operations or lean manufacturing roles – you could be a good fit for this position. We work in a team-based environment, so you would be leading a strong team and would need to provide clear goals and objectives, while maintaining strong communication and alignment of the team as a cohesive, cross-trained unit. You will work closely with senior company management, factory business units and customers, so you will need to display excellent organization, communication and presentation skills.
bA Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required. APICs training and/or APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) and/or APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) certifications would be a plus. Experience in aerospace manufacturing is required.
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
