Responsibilities

• Lead the Direct Labour Organisation, encompassing responsive repairs, caretaking, cleaning and estate services.
• Manage large multi-disciplinary teams through multiple Heads of Service, instilling accountability, motivation and performance.
• Drive compliance with health and safety and regulatory requirements, embedding a culture of safety and assurance.
• Maintain direct engagement with and communities to ensure services respond to local needs and deliver visible impact.
• Support the Director of Maintenance Services in shaping strategic direction.
• Balance short-term operational delivery with longer-term service redesign and improvement programmes.

About you

The successful candidate will be an established senior leader with experience of running complex, large-scale maintenance operations in a housing or contracting environment. They will have managed both significant budgets and large dispersed teams, with a track record of improving operational performance and delivering transformation at scale.
