Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is recruiting for a senior Director of Inclusion to lead the college's approach to Inclusion, SEND and learner support across Wiltshire campuses. This permanent, full-time role focuses on strategic leadership and outcomes for learners with diverse needs, ensuring access and success.

The role requires FE leadership experience, deep SEND knowledge, and a track record of driving strategic change while managing large teams across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within FE or similarly complex educational environment.
• Strong knowledge of SEND, Inclusion and Additional Learning Support.
• Proven track record of leading strategic change and improving learner outcomes.
• Experience managing and developing large teams, across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, EHCP processes and funding.
• Experience improving attendance, engagement and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for inclusion and SEND across the college.
• Lead and develop inclusion, SEND and learning support teams.
• Drive improvements in attendance, engagement, achievement and progression.
• Oversee SEND, EHCP, ALS and high-needs provision across sites.
• Use data and learner feedback to identify improvement areas.
• Support curriculum leaders to embed inclusive teaching and adaptive practice.
• Ensure compliance with SEND, funding and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with local authorities, families and external partners.
• Lead improvement activity across multiple sites.
• Support positive destinations and reduce NEET risk.
