Job description

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Director of Human Resources and Professional Development to work at a good College in Hull, starting as soon as possible and lasting until at least March 31st in the first instance. However, the College would also be looking for a temporary to permanent deal, where a candidate would start on a temporary basis, for 10 weeks, before transferring onto a permanent basis with the college The salary will be between 50,762 and 59,459 per year, scaled to a daily rate. Working hours will be between 8:30AM and 4:30PM, 5 days per week.

This role will involve being responsible for the strategic leadership and operational delivery of people related services at the college. You will be looking to build a people first culture, based on trust, accountability and continuous improvement. Staff well-being will be a key focus in the role, looking to foster an atmosphere which promotes high wellbeing.

A multi-faceted role, you will also be responsible for designing and implementing CPD, which will support career/leadership progression and organisational capability.

You will be responsible for operational HR services such as recruitment and onboarding, as well as maintaining effective frameworks for managing cases such as absence and disciplinary.

Located in Hull, the college is easily accessible from almost all parts of Hull via Bus, and has an onsite car park for candidates who drive. There is also a large car park nearby that is low cost and can be reimbursed in wages.

  • Chartered member or Fellow of CIPD (Level 7)
  • Significant senior HR leadership experience (FE sector ideal)
  • Demonstrated experience in CPD and L+D programme design/delivery
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
