The Samsung TV Plus team is responsible for the service across 19 EMEA territories. We work very closely with colleagues across global Samsung teams to enhance product and content proposition!
Role And Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
- Work alongside Samsung TV Plus teams to develop and deliver the content acquisition strategy, with the key aim to drive increased engagement in European territories.
- Prospect and coordinate potential content partners for licensing, ensuring the service attracts key broadcasters in each local market and PanEU. Secure commitments from partners to integrate with Samsung owned and operated services.
- Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, financials; evaluating options and resolving internal priorities.
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Coordinate contract management across all European partners, ensuring a standard process is adopted across markets.
- Present to and collaborate with senior management on business trends linked to streaming services, including developing new services, features, and distribution channels.
- Guide pan EU and local partnership engagement with the local Strategic Partnership Manager team to achieve business goals, considering each market's characteristics.
- Support & develop Pan EU and local Strategic Partnership Managers to ensure they understand all elements of partner commercial deals.
- Provide solutions to overcome conflicts of interest between internal European teams, subsidiaries, and Samsung’s HQ.

- Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value, and define key focus areas and directions.
- Support your team through regular mentoring, coaching, feedback, 1:1s, and on-the-job learning opportunities.
- Role model inclusion to build trust and psychological safety within your team.
- Ensure effective communication, including cascading information from leadership teams and relevant updates.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, and the entire colleague lifecycle process.
- Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluations, and salary reviews efficiently and timely.
- Ensure your team complies with company processes and procedures, including compliance, meeting deadlines, and understanding company values.
What We Need For This Role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Extensive commercial experience developing outreach strategies and building partner relationships in media and entertainment content businesses.
- Experience managing complex content partnership & commercial deals.
- Extensive experience modeling in ambiguous situations with both traditional financial factors and industry knowledge.
- Experience leading and implementing complex, high-impact projects with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
- Strong understanding of digital media, advertising, and consumer electronics, particularly AVOD services.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills such as prioritization, critical thinking, and hypothesis development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence.
- Established partner relationships with leading European media companies and MPVDs.
- Demonstrated ability to craft complex, first-of-their-kind deals and lead team members in their development.
