Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic initiatives in one or more of CIFF’s nutrition focus areas, delivering measurable impact across priority geographies.
  • Mobilise public and private finance for nutrition and public health, leveraging deep knowledge of government and multilateral mechanisms.
  • Work with partners to advance innovative financing solutions for nutrition (e.g. debt swaps, taxation reforms, institutional reforms).
  • Apply cost‑benefit and ROI methodologies to inform strategy and business planning.
  • Build and manage a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Represent CIFF externally with credibility and professionalism, championing our programmes to diverse audiences.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with global institutions, governments, NGOs, and academic partners.
  • Contribute to the performance of CIFF’s active global nutrition portfolio (circa $200 million and growing), managing personal pipeline and delivery targets.
Qualifications
  • Proven global track record in nutrition and/or public health finance, especially in LMICs.
  • Deep understanding of international development funding flows (ODA, MDBs, philanthropic, PPPs).
  • Strong analytical skills and financial literacy, with experience in business process improvement.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Skilled in influencing, negotiation, and cross‑cultural collaboration.
  • Comfortable working in complex, data‑rich environments to draw sound strategic conclusions.

CIFF operates a hybrid work policy across all locations, which means employees work in the office and some of the time from home. We are happy to provide more information on this as part of the recruitment process.

Alongside a competitive salary, we offer a generous benefits package here at CIFF that includes, but is not limited to the following.

  • Annual leave – 25 days per annum. Increasing by 1 day after each year of service to a maximum of 30 days.
