Bassetlaw District Council is seeking a Head of Neighbourhoods to sit on the Corporate Management Team. The role provides strategic direction to frontline services such as waste, parks, cemeteries, leisure and environmental health, while leading through the move to local government reorganisation.

Candidates need significant senior management experience in a multifunctional public sector body and must be capable of building strong relationships with elected Members and partners to deliver Vision

• Provide strategic direction across neighbourhood and frontline services (waste, fleet, parks, cemeteries, leisure, environmental health).
• Lead health, safety, risk and regulatory compliance for frontline operations.
• Oversee transition during local government reorganisation while maintaining service resilience.
• Shape responsive, efficient, customer-focused services.
• Oversee financial, staffing and operational resources with strong governance.
• Lead and empower a diverse workforce and foster a positive culture.
