Job summary

Talentmark is partnering with an innovative early-stage diagnostics company to appoint an Associate Director / Director – Assay Development. You will lead design and development of quantitative immunoassays and drive translation toward commercial release.

Based in Stevenage with the expectation of London relocation, the role is hands-on and leadership oriented, overseeing validation studies, data integrity and collaboration with external experts.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related biosciences field with industry experience.
• 5+ years in diagnostics or assay development with hands-on immunoassay experience.
• Experience translating assays to point-of-care formats and dedicated data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of quantitative immunoassays.
• Drive optimisation for sensitivity, precision, reproducibility and stability.
• Design and execute assay development and validation studies.
• Maintain robust documentation aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Establish high standards for data integrity and statistical analysis.
• Manage external scientific collaborators and advisors.
