Exciting opportunity for a Director, Head of Debt Issuer Services with a global financial services organisation in London or Leeds.

Overview: This senior leadership role reports to the Managing Director of Corporate Markets Europe and is based on a hybrid working model from either a central London or Leeds city centre office. Regular in-office collaboration is expected.

You\'ll oversee a team responsible for executing bondholder identification and supporting complex debt transactions. The role involves strategic leadership, operational oversight, and relationship management across a diverse client base, including investment banks, law firms, and restructuring advisors.

Key Deliverables

Strategic Focus
  • Develop and implement the Debt Intelligence strategy with a focus on client excellence.
  • Oversee project delivery from due diligence to completion.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance standardisation, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Engage with industry bodies and partners to inform future developments.
Operational Management
  • Lead services related to bondholder identification, including pre-transaction and regulatory exercises.
  • Manage financial performance, team workflow, and departmental outcomes.
  • Maintain deep expertise in debt capital markets and related operations.
  • Liaise with clearing systems, custodians, and institutional investors.
  • Deliver high-quality research and analysis under tight deadlines.
  • Promote thought leadership through publications and events.
People Leadership
  • Provide mentorship and direction to build a high-performing team.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, learning, and quality.
Governance & Risk
  • Stay ahead of regulatory developments affecting the team and wider business.
