Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Director of Economic Community and Workforce Development to lead Google's global data center economic development program. You will build strategies, drive infrastructure labor programs, and advocate with industry peers and leadership to expand Google’s data center footprint.

You will coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to support growth, ensure compliance, and develop long-term workforce pipelines for data center communities worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of economic development experience in a corporate organization or related field.
• Experience in people management.
• Experience developing business-to-business partnerships.
• Ability to communicate fluently in 3 languages common to the region.

Responsibilities

• Unlock new markets, reduce total cost of ownership, and improve community engagement.
• Lead industry coalitions, legislative efforts, policy advancement, and mitigation of headwinds.
• Diplomacy across communities, listening sessions, and local engagement with leaders.
• Grow and manage a global community engagement team including Public Affairs and Workforce Development.
• Collaborate with education and training partners to build talent pathways for data center communities.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Public Policy, Business, Political Science, or Economics

JD / MBA or other professional certification
