Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a senior project management professional to lead occupier fit out commissions and deliver end-to-end service.

You will establish success criteria, ensure governance and compliance, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale projects for clients. Previous director-level experience and familiarity with leading consultancies are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience at Director level.
• Experience delivering CAT B office projects.
• Experience leading teams on large schemes (>100k sqft).
• Member of a recognised professional body (RICS, APM, CIOB) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management commissions with end-to-end delivery.
• Establish success criteria: time, cost, technical, performance.
• Ensure quality, safety, health and environment compliance.
• Set up project governance, processes and systems.
• Plan projects and produce detailed project plans.
• Oversee procurement of resources and cross-functional teams.
• Provide client-facing reports and progress updates.
• Interface with client and other consultants through meetings and reports.
• Lead bids and business development; manage a team.

Job Description

• Being part of Turner & Townsend’s occupier fit out team


• Leading Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery


• Providing support on major project management commissions, taking responsibility for service delivery


• Establishing the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters


• Leading on compliance for quality, safety, health and environment issues on project commissions


• Leading on establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project


• Leading on project planning, including producing the detailed project plan


• Leading on advising upon the procurement of resources


• Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team


• Leading on the monitoring and applying performance management techniques


• Leading on advising upon project finances


• Leading and advising on contract administration processes, claims resolution and disputes


• Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications


• Preparing formal project progress and other reports


• Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages


• Leading on bids, responsible for business development and managing a team

Qualifications

• Academically qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management, engineering, surveying or architecture


• Experience at Director level


• Ideally a member of a professional body i.e. RICS, APM, CIOB


• Ideally you will have worked with leading consultancies


• Experience of delivering CAT B office projects


• Delivered and led teams on schemes in excess of 100,000 sqft
