A leading telecommunications company in the UK is seeking an experienced Finance Director. This role involves owning end-to-end financial performance, leading a high-performing finance team, and driving strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in financial management. Own end-to-end financial performance for Liberty Tech, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risk management.
Partner with Tech MDs and VPs to deliver revenue, cost, and capex targets, and identify growth and efficiency opportunities.
Lead and develop a high-performing Finance team, fostering collaboration, performance, and accountability.
Shape and deliver strategic initiatives, business cases, and transformation projects.
Establish strong financial governance, ensuring process efficiency and compliance.
Act as the primary finance contact for the CTO and Tech leadership, providing actionable insights and challenge.
Deputize for the VP of Finance and represent Finance across senior leadership forums.
Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior Finance Business Partner owning a P&L or leading major financial outcomes.
Exceptional commercial acumen and ability to quickly understand commercial drivers.
Strong leadership capabilities, with proven ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
Comfortable working in an agile, commercially led environment, able to juggle multiple priorities and adapt to constant change.
Track record of driving, project managing, and implementing transformational change programs.
Exceptional grasp of financials, forecasting, and forward planning, with the ability to articulate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
Pragmatic and results-driven, with a strong ability to work with senior leadership and across departments.
Highly skilled in financial modelling and advanced Excel/PowerPoint, with experience using financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Smartview, HFM) and AI tools to drive efficiency.
Professionally qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent), with experience in commercial finance and FP&A.
