Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Clinical Operations Asset Lead to own the operation strategy for assigned oncology programs, from early development through later stages, in collaboration with clinical, biostatistics, safety, and clinical supplies teams.

The role requires leading cross-functional input, ensuring timely delivery, risk management, and budget forecasting, while maintaining inspection readiness and high-quality governance across global studies in a hybrid UK setting.

Qualifications

• Oncology clinical operations experience in solid tumours and haematology.
• Early-phase oncology development experience (FiH/Ph1).
• CRO/vendor management and oversight experience.
• Experience applying GCP and clinical development processes.
• Global program oversight across multiple regions.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with professional English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the operational strategy and delivery for assigned early-phase oncology programs and/or late-phase development programs.
• Represent Development Operations at EDT/MDT.
• Coordinate cross-functional inputs from clinical, biostatistics, safety, clinical supplies and vendors to meet timelines and quality expectations.
• Contribute to protocol development, operational feasibility assessments and resourcing decisions.
• Maintain inspection readiness and quality oversight, supporting risk management and escalation where needed.
• Provide operational input for regulatory deliverables and governance forums, including scenario modelling and budget forecasting.
• Act as a point of contact for stakeholders and vendors to ensure consistent execution across studies and sub-projects.
