Job summary

Kaluza is seeking a Director of Quality & Release Engineering to lead the QA and release governance at the programme level. The role requires steering AI-assisted automation and setting standards across multiple delivery streams.

You will manage a team of engineers, drive a shift toward an AI-enabled PDLC, and ensure risk-based governance. Flexible work in London or Bristol with hybrid emphasis.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading a QA or quality engineering function of significant scale and direct management of practitioners.
• Experience delivering a meaningful QA transformation: AI adoption, automation maturity uplift, defect governance overhaul.

Responsibilities

• Own quality and release governance at programme level.
• Manage engineering team building AI-assisted automation and test data capability.
• Define release governance frameworks and set quality standards across delivery streams.
• Drive QA leads to translate standards into domain-level test strategies.
• Lead transformation of QA practice with AI-assisted quality engineering.
