What you’ll be doing
  • Set a compelling multi year commercial strategy for Mortgages, aligned to Group purpose and strategic priorities.
  • Translate strategy into annual plans with clear commercial targets, customer outcomes and risk considerations.
  • Own pricing, mix, margin and retention performance, ensuring delivery of the financial plan while maintaining credit quality.
  • Lead decision making using data, market trends and portfolio analytics to optimise product and channel performance.
  • Deliver an effective intermediary distribution strategy covering networks, mortgage clubs and key brokers.
  • Represent Paragon at industry events and strengthen external partnerships.
  • Shape and deliver enhancements or new propositions to meet customer needs and return hurdles.
  • Ensure propositions enable good customer outcomes and meet regulatory standards.
  • Ensure full adherence to conduct rules and regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain a strong risk culture aligned to Group risk appetite.
  • Lead and develop commercial and sales teams, driving high performance and inclusive behaviours.
  • Coach team to maximise team effectiveness and embed change successfully.
About You
What you’ll bring to the team
  • Strategic commercial leadership: Proven ability to set multi year strategic direction and translate it into clear, deliverable plans.
  • Data driven decision making: Advanced capability in interpreting portfolio, pricing, market and conversion analytics to optimise mix, margin and distribution performance.
  • BTL and mortgage market expertise: Deep understanding of specialist BTL, landlord behaviour and the intermediary distribution ecosystem.
  • Product and pricing governance: Experience delivering propositions that meet customer needs within risk appetite, commercial targets and regulatory frameworks.
  • Leadership: Track record of building high performing teams, creating accountability and role modelling inclusive leadership behaviours.
  • Stakeholder credibility: Ability to shape decisions and build trust with brokers, industry partners and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct & compliance: Commitment to delivering good customer outcomes and adhering to regulatory and Individual Conduct Rules expectations.

Working hours

Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week – hybrid model, requirement of being in the office 2 days per week.
