About the Role

This is an exceptional and high-impact opportunity to shape the growth of the Direct Sales function at Bauer Media Outdoor. As Direct Sales Manager, you will lead a team of talented sales consultants responsible for selling Out of Home (OOH) advertising solutions to a broad mix of clients. Your team will focus primarily on medium to large regional businesses with varied and often complex needs, giving you significant scope to influence revenue growth and market presence.

What You’ll Be Doing
Team Leadership
  • Lead, manage, and inspire a team of six Direct Sales Consultants focused on selling OOH advertising to small and medium-sized businesses.
  • Set clear KPIs and revenue targets, proactively monitoring performance and driving accountability.
  • Support the team in identifying and developing new business opportunities, collaborating with Bauer Media Outdoor’s marketing teams and building strong regional market insight.
  • Champion high-quality, insight-driven pitches, fostering collaboration across the business.
  • Provide hands‑on coaching, mentoring, and day‑to‑day guidance to strengthen sales capability and confidence.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Bauer Media Outdoor formats and propositions, ensuring the same high standards within your team.
  • Build strong relationships with other Sales Managers, Sales Operations, and cross‑functional teams to share best practice and ensure seamless communication.
Sales Performance
  • Develop and manage detailed regional sales and business plans to guide prospecting, structure sales activity, and produce accurate revenue forecasting.
  • Identify development needs across the team and provide coaching to ensure KPIs and targets are exceeded.
  • Equip the team with the tools, skills, and confidence to deliver compelling, insight‑led sales narratives that influence client media decisions.
Customer Engagement
  • Ensure all pitches and proposals align clearly with client objectives and showcase tailored, high‑impact solutions.
  • Champion the team’s value proposition, helping consultants articulate why Bauer Media Outdoor is a relevant, effective, and convenient partner for advertisers.
  • Oversee accurate and comprehensive activity logging, pipeline management, and account information within Salesforce.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven field sales and new business experience, ideally with a strong regional focus.
  • Media sales experience (e.g., print, radio) is beneficial but not essential.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and unlocking new markets while growing value from existing customers.
  • Inspirational, motivating leader with a strong track record in coaching and developing high‑performing teams.
  • Strong, empathetic communicator and confident presenter.
  • Resilient and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving marketplace.
  • Highly organised, with strong account management and data articulation skills.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges.
  • Comfortable using MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Confident using social media to gather and interpret regional market insight.
