A local government authority in Cornwall is seeking an experienced Youth Worker to deliver online youth sessions and develop new policies in line with national standards. The role includes promoting the Online Youth Club and ensuring the Pilot's sustainability. Candidates must have experience with young people aged 13+ and an interest in social media. A flexible working option is available, contributing to a healthy work/life balance.
This is a new and exciting Project and these posts will be at the forefront of a developing a new initiative for young people in Cornwall. The role will involve delivering the online youth sessions and developing new policies and practices in line with the National Youth Agency's Digital Youth Work Standards. The role will include promoting the Online Youth Club and helping to develop plans for the Pilot to be sustained longer term. You will also take part in the Pilot's evaluation.
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
The role will involve working 3 evenings a week (split between 2 part time posts) Monday - Friday.
We will consider internal and external Secondments with Manager/Organisation agreement.
