Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is launching a Digital Solutions Graduate Programme in Edinburgh. You will join a growing team working on digital and data-driven value, with a starting salary of £34,000 per annum and a £1,000 welcome bonus.

You’ll be eligible for a £1,000 exit bonus on successful completion and may qualify for a Temporary Accommodation Allowance (TAA). The programme emphasises on-site collaboration, with three days per week on site to maximise learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 Bachelor's or integrated Master's degree, or higher degree such as MSc/PhD within last three years in Business, IT, Technology, Science or Maths.
• Experience areas include: cloud computing, information technology, software engineering, data analytics and data science, cyber implementation and management.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the DigitalSolutions function across Architecture, Innovation to Delivery and Service Operations.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives and work on projects across multiple business areas.

As a Leonardo Graduate intheDigitalSolutions team,you’ll participate in many areas of the function, from Architecture and Innovation to Delivery and Service Operations.You’ll be involved in innovation initiatives and have the opportunity to work on projects across a number of business areas.

What we need from you:

All of our roles require (a) a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelors/Integrated Master's degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as a MSc or PhD achieved in the last three years, from Business, IT, Technology, Science or Maths courses, although other subjects may also be relevant.

Experience of:

• Experimentally led development. Building prototypes,demonstratingkey designconceptsand understanding of technical challenges

• Cloud Computing

• Information Technology

• Software engineering

• Developing Infrastructure and Code (Terraform Scripting)

• Data Analytics and Data Science

• Cyber Implementation,guidelinesand management

• A strong interest in and awareness of technology and innovation

Security Clearance

Many of our roles are subject to security and export control restrictions set by UK Government Security requirements and customer obligations. As a result, and in line with the UK Government Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) requirements, all successful applicants will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK, criminal record declaration information and employment and/or education history verification for the previous five years.

For staff operating in more sensitive posts, there is an additional range of personnel security controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV). As part of this process, a range of factors may be considered, including an individual's background, travel history, nationality, previous nationalities held and other information relevant to the vetting assessment.

To be eligible for National Security Vetting at SC level, applicants will generally be expected to have continuously resided in the UK for the previous five years. For DV clearance, this is typically ten years. In some circumstances, time spent overseas may be accepted, with additional overseas checks. Additional vetting requirements may apply upon appointment.
