About the role

Responsible for the application solution design for active digital projects. Following a standardised delivery framework approach; ensure projects can progress through main stages gates through the direct authoring of high‑quality designs created to accommodate product team requirements and an enterprise‑friendly IT delivery environment. The role centralises on key relationships with Project Management, Technical Delivery teams, and Product Team representatives.

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect that specialises in eCommerce Single Page Applications (SPA's). You should hold a understanding of MACH architecture framework, standards and best practices, the ability to create scalable and robust solutions based on pre‑defined requirements and the ability to translate proposed solutions to non‑technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee the architecture following the Project Delivery framework, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Collaborate with product team and project delivery representatives - to translate requirements into high‑quality design and provide guidance on the target architectural patterns.
• Evaluate design decisions and provide recommendations that support both the idealistic architecture approach and more general project delivery considerations (time & effort).
• Identify and represent RACI aspect related to the architecture delivery of assigned projects.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and architecture patterns/frameworks.
• Represent project designs at multiple design authorities. Present and articulate technical design into non‑technical stakeholder requirements.

What you’ll need to have

• Attention to detail when considering the creation of design artefacts and solving problems
• You will manage partners, focusing on the translation of non‑technical requirements into technical design and the reverse.
• You will provide rationale recommendations through well‑documented design decisions.
• Ability to deliver within an eCommerce investment portfolio.

It would be great if you also have

• Experience within an architecture delivery environment for eCommerce services.
• TOGAF or similar industry‑recognised architecture certifications
• Experience with MACH architecture delivery
• Experience with software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Additional experience with Salesforce eCommerce solutions a benefit.
