Job summary

Royal Society of Chemistry seeks a dynamic content professional to plan and deliver digital events, host live sessions, and collaborate with the organisation and external clients to create high-value science communications for the community.

You will commission and produce podcasts, manage guest relations, and contribute to web and social media content. Experience with recording tech and scripting is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant science field is required.
• Experience communicating science through qualification or professional work.
• Confident speaker and presenter with live interviewing experience.
• Experience writing, editing and fact-checking scripts for podcast/video voiceover.
• Knowledge of equipment/tech for recording and producing audio/video.
• Experience creating web content including social media.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver digital events like webinars from guest coordination to marketing materials and rehearsals.
• Host events, guide speaker panels and lead audience Q&A sessions.
• Collaborate with RSC and clients to develop valuable events for the community.
• Commission, record and present podcast episodes and build relationships with contributors.
• Monitor podcasting landscape and grow audience.
• Support the Digital Editor in preparing video, audio and data visualisations for web/social media.
• Turn editorial ideas into production briefs.
• Find ways to involve the community, manage social media for sponsored content.
