Job description
Overview

Do you have a passion for North Wales and a desire to see the region grow and deliver on its potential? Are you enthusiastic, committed and a team player? This Digital Project Manager role offers flexible working arrangements, a hybrid working model, generous annual leave entitlement and opportunities for training and professional development within a small friendly team in a supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PM to provide leadership, support and challenge across projects within the North Wales Growth Deal, with a focus on connectivity and strengthening North Wales’ status as a leading location for digital connectivity.

In this unique position you will play an integral role in driving the successful delivery of projects within our digital connectivity programme, shaping the future of digital connectivity in North Wales. You will work closely with regional stakeholders, partners and government to ensure timely delivery, within budget and to the highest standard, and you will have the opportunity to lead, manage and deliver assigned projects.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and supporting the development and delivery of assigned digital projects from approval through implementation, ensuring quality assurance throughout.
  • Developing robust business cases, achieving individual objectives and broader programme outcomes within agreed timelines and resources.
  • Achieving individual objectives and cumulative programme outcomes and targets on time and within allocated resources.
  • Coordinating interdependencies across the programme and the wider Growth Deal portfolio to ensure strategic alignment and optimal impact.
  • Leading on stakeholder engagement, working collaboratively with partners to deliver objectives and benefits.
Qualifications
  • Degree/postgraduate in a relevant field (or equivalent).
  • Relevant qualifications such as PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of management methods, bid writing and/or business case development processes.
  • Experience of successful programme and/or project delivery to deadline and to budget.
  • Proven track record of effective public/stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of or previous experience within the telecommunications sector and digital infrastructure initiatives across the UK.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to produce high quality work on multiple priorities simultaneously.
Benefits and Contract

The team has adopted a hybrid working model with a mix of Llandudno Junction office-based and home working. The role offers a salary of £46,142 - £48,226 per annum plus membership of the local government pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement. This is a full-time role with Ambition North Wales; flexible working requests will be considered for the right person. This is a contract until March 2028.
