BMW UK, National Sales Centre, Farnborough - Digital Platforms Assistant - 13 Month Placement (July 2026)

This role is cross functional, giving you the opportunity to work across Marketing, Digital, E-commerce, Service, and Parts areas, as well as interfacing with other departments within the organisation and our Retailer Network. As part of the role, you will be involved in the commercial elements of the business which will include gaining an understanding of the return on investment of our activities, monitoring competitor activity, and interacting and maintaining relationships with contacts across our agency landscape.

Responsibilities

• Support the Ecommerce Manager to schedule and facilitate meetings with various e-commerce stakeholders, working with large online marketplaces like eBay and Amazon.
• Manage relationships with key agencies that support the delivery of our digital platforms.
• Support the wider Channel Development areas with regular accurate reporting and provide support for projects and national campaigns that use our digital platforms as destinations to shop/transact.
• Assist the Retail Channel Development Executive with maintenance/development of the Service Online Booking Platform and other digital journey platforms such as BMW Chat and BMW Pay.

Qualifications and experience

• Studying towards a bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Marketing, IT, or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
• Interest in e-commerce and awareness of online stores is desirable. Experience selling online on your own platform or on major marketplaces is advantageous but not essential.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
• Thirst for learning, eye for detail, and a creative flare are beneficial.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and individually on projects, delivering against deadlines and targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously with high accuracy.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for offsite meetings; majority of time will be at Summit One in Farnborough.
