Job summary

A leading e-commerce group in Manchester is seeking a Digital Merchandiser to optimise brand performance on their platform. This role entails driving digital excellence through SEO, product merchandising, and collaborating with site managers and marketing teams. Responsibilities

  • Drive digital excellence across key accounts on the LOOKFANTASTIC website.
  • Optimise brand product merchandising including copy and SEO.
  • Ensure intuitive customer journeys.
  • Conduct SEO audits in collaboration with the internal SEO team.
  • Analyse metrics to provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Make decisions based on insights, including A/B testing.

As a member of the Buying team, you will drive digital excellence across key accounts. This role is a unique opportunity to optimise brand performance on the LOOKFANTASTIC website, focusing on visual representation, customer metrics, and engagement. You will be fully immersed in product strategy while continuously improving performance through optimisation and execution.

As Digital Merchandiser, you’ll:
  • Ensure all brand products are optimised:
    • Product merchandising (placements/recommendations)
    • Product copy and on‑page SEO optimisation
    • Imagery and videos
    • Best‑in‑class PDP pages
    • Brand Rooms
    • Navigation and search
    • Content and editorial
    • Product availability
    • Product attribution review & optimise discoverability
  • Have final approval of all NPD product pages, ensuring right‑first‑time optimisation and intuitive customer journeys.
  • Conduct regular SEO audits and collaborate with the LookFantastic in‑house SEO team.
  • Utilise keyword research and search trend data to optimise product titles and copy.
  • Work closely with site managers and marketing teams to ensure accurate brand representation.
  • Analyse key metrics (traffic, conversion, basket) and provide data‑driven recommendations (ROI dashboard required).
  • Use insights to make data‑based decisions, including A/B testing where appropriate.
  • Provide digital and trade post‑event analysis and recommendations to inform future investment and customer behaviour insights.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
  • Ecommerce trading experience with 2‑3 years SEO experience and high knowledge of keyword research.
  • Interest and knowledge of the beauty industry and beauty products.
  • Analytical ability with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to give clarity and set direction.
  • Commercial awareness of the beauty industry.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Competent knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
