A regional police service in Leicester is seeking a Digital Media Investigator to provide technical support in digital crime investigations. Responsibilities include data extraction from devices, report preparation, and enhancing digital policing practices. Ideal candidates will have relevant degrees or experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle sensitive material professionally. Provide technical advice and assistance in the investigation of digital crime and incidents. As Digital Media Investigator you will support investigations of digital crime and produce written ‘Digital and Technology’ strategies to guide investigators across Leicestershire Police.
Currently the Digital Media Investigation Unit operates between 07:00 and 18:00 hrs Monday to Friday; and 08:00 to 16:00 on Saturday, these hours may be subject to change to meet demand. There will also be a requirement to perform on-call duties once fully trained.
