Responsible To (Job Title): Senior Marketing Manager

Line Reports: Digital Marketing Executive

Location: Gloucester with travel to Pooky’s showrooms, within the UK & overseas as necessary.

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum

Main Purpose: To delight and grow our customer base by delivering Pooky’s digital first marketing strategy. Inspiring consumers with engaging storytelling across multiple channels to build and strengthen our brand in the UK and USA while ensuring a consistency of messaging.

Digital Marketing Manager responsibilities

As our Digital Marketing Manager, you will lead and optimise our loyalty, email, paid social, and affiliate marketing channels across both the UK & US markets. You’ll play a key role in driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth through data‑led campaign management and creative testing.

You’ll collaborate closely with the wider marketing team to deliver high-performing, integrated campaigns that reflect our brand and business goals.

Email and SMS

Own the strategy and execution of all email marketing campaigns, from weekly campaigns to our triggered flow emails.

Working with and supporting the Digital Marketing Executive to:
  • Create engaging weekly campaign emails to encourage repeat purchase
  • Conduct A/B testing on content, creative, and send times to continuously improve performance.
  • Track deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and ROI, using data to inform optimisation.
  • Enhance automation and customer segmentation
  • Develop, test, and optimise SMS activations to support product launches, offers, loyalty initiatives, and key retention moments.
  • Collaborate with the Digital team on the functionality, and optimisation of strategies and campaigns within our systems.
Paid Social
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with our Paid Social agency.
  • Work with the agency to optimise campaigns across Meta, Pinterest and TikTok, ensuring we’re within budget and hitting our ROAS targets
  • Working with the Digital Marketing Executive and internal/external creative teams to deliver eye-catching creative, with a constant test and learn attitude
  • Collaborate with the ECommerce Manager to ensure the audiences, catalogue, creative and campaigns are optimised.
Affiliate
  • Lead and grow our affiliate marketing programme, including partner recruitment, onboarding, and relationship management.
  • Day-to-day management of the affiliate platform
  • Ensure affiliates adhere to brand guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Analyse channel performance and identify opportunities to expand reach and improve ROI.
Loyalty
  • Own the strategy, growth, and day-to-day management of our loyalty programme.
  • Develop campaigns and communications that increase sign-ups, engagement, and repeat purchases.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to integrate loyalty initiatives into broader marketing and retention activity.
  • Analyse member behaviour, redemption rates, and engagement metrics to refine the loyalty proposition.
  • Ensure the loyalty programme strengthens brand advocacy and long-term customer value.
  • Collaborating with the Digital team to ensure loyalty strategies and campaigns can be supported and maximised through our systems and/or on the website
Team Leadership:
  • Set clear goals and KPIs and regularly evaluate team performance.
  • Provide effective management to freelancers and agencies.
  • Team development, coaching and making business cases for additional resources where appropriate.
