A dedicated health charity in Ipswich is seeking a Digital Marketing, Communications and Operations Officer. The successful candidate will develop marketing strategies, manage communications, and oversee fundraising efforts. Exceptional writing and communication skills are essential, along with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. This is a full-time office-based position with a salary between £23,000 to £27,000 annually.

Remuneration £23,000 to £27,000 per annum (35hpw) pro rata, depending on experience
Hours 25-35 per week, usually Mondays to Fridays
This is predominantly an office-based role, in Ipswich town centre, there will be occasional travel and attendance at evening and weekend events by prior agreement

Established in partnership with the University of Suffolk, the organization opened the UK’s first dedicated CHD research centre in 2015. With specialised services, including transitional support for young people moving to adult cardiac services and mental health resources, Somerville Heart Foundation is committed to addressing both medical and emotional needs. The foundation strives to create a positive impact for individuals and their families as they navigate life with heart conditions.
Role Description
This is a full‑time on‑site role located in Ipswich for a Digital Marketing Communications and Operations Officer. The role involves developing and implementing comprehensive marketing communication strategies, preparing press releases, managing organisational communications, and executing strategic campaigns. Daily responsibilities include creating and editing high‑quality written content, coordinating internal and external communication efforts, and ensuring effective dissemination of information to stakeholders.
The successful applicant will ideally be a competent wordsmith with demonstrable experience of working with and engaging people from diverse backgrounds. They will spearhead our digital marketing communications, fundraising and operations to ensure the charity has the capacity to deliver against our strategic goals.
