Overview
We are looking for a motivated and creative Marketing Apprentice to join the Activate team. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about digital marketing, social media, branding, and content creation. As part of Workman Activate’s Placemaking Team, you’ll play a hands‑on role delivering destination marketing and placemaking services that bring spaces to life. The Destination Marketing service specialises in delivering integrated marketing programmes aimed at driving footfall, increasing spend and connecting the destination to the local community. The role requires regular and direct communication with internal property managers and onsite staff to organise, facilitate and deliver the properties marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling content across a range of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X/Twitter).
- Help maintain and update websites using CMS tools (e.g., WordPress).
- Assist in creating marketing materials such as brochures, blog posts, infographics, and presentations.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to marketing strategies.
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team as required.
- Take part in the Juice Academy Content Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship, tutored by industry experts.
- Tutored by Tangerine Communications, an industry‑leading social media and PR agency that makes B2B and consumer brands famous with creativity and energy.

Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interest in marketing, communications, or digital media with a willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Experience using social media for personal projects or previous work.
- Previous office or admin experience is desirable.
- Ability to travel to central Manchester office and site visits.
