Job summary

The Insolvency Service is seeking a Digital Forensic Technician to join a government forensic computing laboratory in London. The role involves forensically sound acquisition and preservation of computers, servers and cloud systems, with evidential analysis and careful record-keeping.

You will produce written reports and statements suitable for investigative use and may attend search warrants and court proceedings. This is an onsite, junior-level, full-time position in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Familiar with digital forensic acquisition procedures and evidence continuity principles.
• Awareness of ISO 17025 and NPCC/ACPO guidelines.
• Experience with forensic capture of physical and cloud-based systems.
• Ability to produce clear written reports and statements for investigations.
