Digital EDA/CAD Engineer – Semiconductor Start‑up – Berkshire – Hybrid Working

Degree qualified Digital EDA / CAD Engineer with 7+ years' experience across front-end and back-end digital design flows will contribute to the definition and implementation of IC design tools, flows and methodologies.

The successful Digital EDA/CAD Engineer will be part of an exciting high-tech scale‑up which is revolutionizing wired connectivity, enabling the build of energy efficient AI systems globally.

Key skills and experience should include:
  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Electronic / Computer / Electrical Engineering.
  • Programming skills in Python, Shell, Perl, Tcl or similar.
  • Deep understanding of the chip design process.
  • Proficiency building robust EDA/CAD flows.
  • Experience with Cadence Voltus (or similar).
  • Extensive experience across front‑end and back‑end digital design flows (simulation, synthesis, place & route, parasitic extraction, STA, physical verification etc.).
  • Some RTL coding experience beneficial.

In this Digital EDA/CAD Engineer role you will lead and support tool evaluation, selection and flow development; as part of a responsive team will contribute to the implementation of IC design tools and flows as well as working with EDA/CAD vendors to resolve tool issues and help design teams reach practical solutions.
