Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Digital Delivery Lead to oversee the execution and technical delivery of global digital projects within the Creative Design practice. You will lead Visualisation, Real-Time and Development capabilities, establishing delivery frameworks and standards to scale high-quality experiences.

You will collaborate with Discipline Leads, Project Managers and Client Leads to drive delivery excellence, explore AI-enabled workflows and push for continuous improvement across regions,

We are AtkinsRéalis' in-house creative and digital agency. Our multi-disciplinary team of over 90 talented professionals spans the globe and includes UX/UI designers, graphic designers, animators, visualisers, real-time specialists, and web developers. The role

The Digital Delivery Lead is a leadership role responsible for the execution, technical delivery and operational excellence of digital projects across the global Creative Design practice.

Leading the Visualisation, Real-Time and Development capabilities, the role will establish consistent delivery frameworks, technical standards and ways of working that enable teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences efficiently and at scale.

Working closely with operational and senior leadership, Discipline leads, Project Managers and Client Leads, the Digital Delivery Lead will drive delivery excellence, innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring our digital capabilities evolve in line with client needs, business priorities and emerging technologies.

Your role

• Lead the successful delivery of complex digital projects from mobilisation through to launch, ensuring high standards of technical performance, visual quality, usability and user experience.
• Partner with Discipline Leads and senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, manage pipeline and grow digital capability globally.
• Work in partnership with Discipline Leads to establish and embed delivery frameworks, governance and quality assurance, drawing on discipline expertise to inform technical standards and best practice.
• Ensure projects are effectively planned, resourced and managed against quality, timeline, budget and client objectives.
• Drive operational efficiency through improved processes, workflows, tools and automation, working collaboratively with Discipline Leads and Senior Leaders to ensure changes support and enhance existing discipline practices.
• Partner with Development experts to evolve best practice for real-time and interactive technologies, including Unity, Unreal Engine and emerging digital platforms.
• Provide digital delivery and solution leadership to project teams, working alongside relevant Discipline Leads and technical experts to provide direction, coaching and problem-solving support.
• Champion a technology-agnostic approach to solution design, bringing together the appropriate discipline expertise to identify and recommend platforms and technologies that maximise client value, project outcomes and long-term sustainability.
• Working with the AI Champions, explore and responsibly adopt AI-enabled and agentic workflows, automation and emerging development practices, fostering experimentation, continuous learning and innovation.
• Build stronger connectivity across regional digital teams, increasing visibility, knowledge sharing and collaboration to ensure capabilities, expertise and opportunities are leveraged globally.
• Encourage modern delivery approaches, including rapid prototyping, AI-assisted development (e.g. Copilot, Cursor and similar tooling), agentic workflows and "vibe coding" techniques, while maintaining appropriate quality, security and governance standards.
• Manage delivery risks, dependencies and escalations to protect successful project outcomes.
• Partner with Client Leads and senior stakeholders to shape delivery strategies and build trusted client relationships.
• Balance technical, client and commercial requirements, supporting effective resource utilisation and project profitability.
• Develop business cases and investment opportunities that support the growth and evolution of digital capabilities.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performing culture, developing future leaders and technical specialists.

About you

• Significant experience leading digital delivery within an experiential, digital, creative or development environment.
• Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary technical and delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of software development, visualisation and real-time technologies, such as Unity and Unreal Engine, with the ability to provide technical direction, establish standards and support troubleshooting, without necessarily being hands‑on in day‑to‑day production.
• Experience evaluating and selecting technologies, platforms and delivery approaches based on client outcomes, business value and project requirements rather than personal or team preference.
• Demonstrated experience adopting AI-assisted delivery methods, automation and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, quality and scalability.
• Confidence leading teams in the application of modern development practices, including rapid prototyping, AI-assisted coding, Azure DevOps based delivery and evolving software delivery methodologies.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance innovation, technical excellence, commercial objectives and practical delivery considerations.
• Proven ability to assess complex problems, identify pragmatic solutions and guide teams through ambiguity and technical challenges.
• Strong appreciation for visual quality, user experience and technical performance, with a track record of delivering robust, scalable and high-quality digital products and experiences.
• Strong knowledge of digital delivery methodologies, governance, quality assurance and technical standards.
• Good understanding of technical architecture, performance, security, API integration, platform strategy and modern development practices. Familiarity with digital ecosystem design, including cloud hosted solutions, Azure DevOps, USD based workflows and emerging platforms such as Nvidia Omniverse would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance quality, delivery performance and profitability.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and coaching capability with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
