Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Digital Delivery Coordinator to join our team in Woolavington. You will support project teams by enabling digital processes, managing information and driving efficient, sustainable practices across delivery stages.

You will work with BIM tools, CDE environments and MS 365 applications, collaborating across teams to deliver projects while expanding your knowledge and skills. The role offers flexibility with smart working and hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc/BEng/MEng/HND or equivalent with understanding and proven delivery of infrastructure or building projects
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • NVQ–Level 5 or 5+ years of project/educational experience
  • Keen to learn and develop knowledge while supporting others
  • Excellent verbal communication to present digital platform usage to diverse audiences
  • Excellent written communication to draft clear emails, documents and presentations
  • Disciplined, organised and proactive with ability to build new relationships and work with teams
  • Valid CSCS card

Responsibilities

  • Support project teams to facilitate their business processes using digital tools and technology (e.g., HSES access control, competency management, permits, controls)
  • Identify and review new ways of working to increase efficiency, reduce cost, improve quality, sustainability, and Zero Harm
  • Support Information Managers to implement the project Information Management Plan and related documents
  • Educate project teams, clients and supply chain members in the use of the Project Information Model (Graphical and Non-Graphical)

About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Delivery Coordinator to join our growing team in Woolavington.

What you'll be doing
  • Support the project teams to facilitate their business processes using digital tools/technology. These processes include but are not limited to:
    • HSES access control, competency management, permits and controls,
    • Quality progressive assurance
    • Task Management of short term look ahead programmes
    • Information Management for files and project data
    • Reality Capture and progress reporting
  • Identify and review new ways of working which will benefit the project by increasing efficiency, reducing cost, improve quality, sustainability and aiming for Zero Harm
  • Support the Information Managers to implement the project Information Management Plan and associated documents to meet the requirements outlined in the Employer Information Requirements
  • Educate project teams, clients and supply chain members in the use and development of the Project Information Model (Graphical and Non Graphical)
Who we're looking for

The following qualities/experience are essential:

  • BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng, HND/HDC or qualified by experience with an understanding and proven delivery of infrastructure or Building, managing multiple processes / schemes
  • Full UK Driving License
  • NVQ – Level 5 or 5+ years of project / Educational experience
  • Keen to learn, develop knowledge and support members.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills. Be able to present the use of digital platforms to people from a wide range of backgrounds and levels of understanding.
  • Excellent written communication skills. Be able to pen emails, documents and presentations that communicate the information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to be disciplined, organised and proactive.
  • Ability to build form new relationships and work with teams.
  • Valid CSCS card

The following qualities/experience are desirable but not essential:

  • Some understanding of Design, Surveying and Asset Management
  • GIS application experience
  • Synchro Software experience or equivalent
  • Professional membership or working towards a professional membership

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Good understanding of core construction processes (RAMS, Permits, ITPs, QC checks, Short Term Planning, Temporary Works etc)
  • Working knowledge of project CDE environments
  • Understanding of the UK BIM Framework, Protocols, and IM best practices
  • Can demonstrate strong technical ability with the use of digital platforms, for example:
    • Autodesk products
    • BIM 360 and ACC
    • Navisworks
    • Microsoft O365
    • Excel
    • Power Bi (to interact with a report, not build one)
    • PowerPoint
    • SharePoint
