Job summary

Samaritans in the United Kingdom is seeking a Digital Communities and Creator Fundraising Officer to grow our presence in creator, gaming and digital spaces. You will build strong relationships with content creators, engage supporters and help deliver innovative fundraising campaigns that raise income and awareness for Samaritans.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising, community management or a similar relationship-focused role.
  • Knowledge of creator, gaming or digital communities, with experience growing and engaging online audiences.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both online and in person.
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A data-driven approach, using insights to improve performance and engagement.
  • Confidence using digital tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office.
  • Emotional resilience and the ability to work sensitively in a mental health-focused environment.
  • Experience in charity fundraising or supporter engagement.
  • Knowledge of platforms such as Tiltify and creator-led fundraising.
  • Experience representing an organisation at events, conventions or expos.
  • Experience using CRM systems or databases.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging fundraising campaigns and events for content creators, gamers and digital communities.
  • Build and nurture relationships with supporters through online community management, social media engagement and tailored stewardship.
  • Identify and engage new creator and community fundraising opportunities, including representing Samaritans at industry events.
  • Use data, insights and supporter feedback to improve performance, grow income and enhance the supporter experience.
  • Provide fundraising guidance and support to ensure supporters have a positive and compliant fundraising journey.

Job description

We're looking for a passionate and community-minded Digital Communities and Creator Fundraising Officer to help us grow our presence across the creator, gaming and digital communities' space.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands online communities and digital culture, and who can build meaningful relationships with content creators, contacts in the games industry and our supporters. You'll play a key role in delivering innovative fundraising campaigns, nurturing our online communities and helping to develop new opportunities that generate income and awareness for Samaritans.

Contract terms:
  • Fixed Term Contract (18 months)
  • 35 hours per week (full time) - we will also consider part time or job share
  • We are passionate about flexible working, talk to us about your preferences
  • Hybrid, linked to our Ewell (Surrey) office
  • We value meeting in person and working collaboratively. We work in person around 2 days or more per month
  • 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
What you'll be doing:

Reporting to the Events Fundraising Manager for Gaming and Streaming, you'll support the delivery and growth of creator-led and digital fundraising programmes. Working across fundraising, digital and marketing teams, you'll help engage supporters, strengthen community relationships and create exceptional experiences that inspire long-term involvement.

Whether you're moderating conversations in online spaces, supporting fundraising events, identifying new creators to work with or gathering insights to improve performance, you'll be at the heart of Samaritans' engagement with digital communities.
