We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Digital Communications Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £24.12 - £32.22 per hour

Summary

The Digital Communications Officer will play a key role in engaging residents, staff, and stakeholders through high-quality digital content across multiple channels. This role supports the delivery of digital campaigns aligned with the councils strategic priorities, helping to tell the councils story, promote equality, and improve engagement through innovative, accessible, and data-led digital communications.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate digital communications campaigns in line with the councils Strategic Plan.
  • Support the implementation of the digital communications and engagement strategy across all digital channels.
  • Create and manage engaging content for social media, email marketing, websites, and intranet platforms.
  • Grow and manage audiences across digital channels, increasing reach, engagement, and subscriptions.
  • Use digital tools and insight to target communications effectively, including engaging seldom-heard communities.
  • Manage and respond to social media, website, and email enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Essentials
  • Proven experience of digital communications, including social media, email marketing, website, and intranet management.
  • Experience of managing digital channels and delivering engaging digital content.
  • Experience of delivering successful digital communications campaigns or projects.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility requirements and GDPR compliance.
  • Experience of evaluating digital campaigns and using analytics to measure impact.
