NHS Ayrshire & Arran within PSD Scotland seeks a Business and Commercial Manager to improve planning, governance and delivery. You will support performance reporting, resource planning and commercial activity across the digital function, enabling better decisions and outcomes.
This hybrid role is based in the UK with home and office days in Edinburgh or Glasgow, 36 hours per week, and a focus on cross-team collaboration and continuous improvement.

On 1 April 2026, NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) became one national organisation, focused on continuity today and a stronger, more connected service for tomorrow.
As part of this transformation, NSS and NES have joined to form a new organisation: Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long-term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland.
PSD Scotland unites expertise from NES and NSS in a way that will allow us to accelerate national programmes to support the NHS to deliver better care, now and in the future.
We support staff with education and training, provide the tools and data that improve services, and run vital national functions such as procurement, logistics and blood, tissue and cell services.
Digital and Security is looking for a Business and Commercial Manager to help us improve how we plan, organise and run our services.
This is a varied role covering business management, governance, performance reporting, resource planning, commercial activity and team support
Working across the Directorate, you will bring together information, plans and priorities to help teams and senior leaders make informed decisions and deliver successfully.
You will help maintain business and delivery plans, support governance processes, coordinate resources and demand, develop performance reporting and ensure risks, actions and decisions are properly tracked and managed.
You will also support commercial activity, including customer quotations and proposals, income forecasting and recovery, and maintaining commercial records and processes.
Digital enablement is an important part of the role.
You will help us make better use of Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Lists and Power BI, to streamline processes, improve reporting and reduce unnecessary manual effort.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to how a national digital organisation operates by helping teams work more effectively, improving processes and supporting successful delivery.
We are looking for an experienced business and administration managers who can bring structure, coordination and commercial expertise to a busy and fast-moving digital environment.
You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and comfortable working with both plans and day-to-day operational activities.
You will have strong communication and relationship-building skills and be able to work effectively with colleagues from a range of technical, operational, corporate and customer-facing teams.
You will be comfortable analysing information, producing reports and helping leaders make informed decisions.
Experience of governance, planning, performance reporting, resource management, commercial support or business improvement would be beneficial.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving how things work and helping teams turn plans into action.
Currently hybrid working, with a combination of home working and office attendance at either Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow as the designated base location.
Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
