Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers is seeking an automation-focused Digital Automation Test Analyst to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions across RESTful APIs, backend services, microservices, frontend web, and mobile apps. You’ll work in a DevOps culture to reduce manual effort and enable faster releases.

The role is based at the Birmingham Head Office with a flexible hybrid working approach and requires at least 5 years in test automation, API testing, and mobile testing expertise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in test automation.
• Experience testing APIs, mobile web and native apps within complex environments.
• Hands-on automation experience with Appium (mobile automation – must-have).
• Proficiency in writing automated tests in C#.
• Experience building API + mobile + web automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test packs for RESTful APIs, backend services, microservices, web and mobile apps.
• Develop reusable and scalable test frameworks using C# and related technologies.
• Ensure test packs, including regression, are maintained and updated for new/changed functionality.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Collaborate with developers to improve testability and mobile quality strategy.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing across web, API and mobile layers.
