GSK Irvine is seeking a Digital and Technology Lead to drive adoption of industry-standard digital solutions across the site, enabling automated corrective actions and deep data analysis to measurably improve process performance from fermentation through purification.
You will lead cross-functional teams, manage data capture and analytics, and partner with Global MSAT to embed scalable digital tools that reduce local experimentation and accelerate process change.
The Digital and Technology Lead drives the adoption of industry recognised Digital and Technology solutions across the Irvine site to ensure optimum performance and automated-corrective responses are in place. The aim is to ensure that technology is in place to measure process performance, provide deep data analysis and drive embedding solutions (including optimizing in-process controls). This role encompasses the full manufacturing and supporting processes across the site (from simplifying technical transfer of Fermentation Strain - predictive scale-up - to highlighting purification performance improvements) through deep data analysis and leaning on process modelling to limit local experiments and simplify implementation of process change. You will programme manage the implementation of technological solutions to drive process productivity and seek transformational change of established production processes.
This role would suit a self-motivated person who has experience of working in a cross-functional, global supply organisation. You will have strong people-management skills, including a proven ability to influence people to achieve goals (as you will work closely with a wide range of teams, colleagues, senior‑stakeholders). You will also have a strong continuous improvement mindset. Knowledge and previous interaction with Global MSAT and other support functions would be advantageous.
