A leading energy company is seeking a Digital Analytics & Insights Specialist to transform complex data into actionable insights. This hybrid role requires expertise in GA4, SQL, and Tableau, along with strong data storytelling skills to support product decisions. Responsibilities include analyzing web and app data, building dashboards, ensuring data quality, and fostering collaboration with product managers. Join a recognized employer that values inclusivity and growth in London.
We're looking for a Digital Analytics & Insights Specialist who excels at turning complex data into clear, actionable insight that shapes product decisions. You'll be deeply analytical and comfortable working with GA4, Databricks, SQL, Python and Tableau – while also having strong knowledge of digital tagging and tracking to ensure our journeys are measured correctly from the outset.
This role goes beyond implementation. You'll define measurement strategies, design data layers and create clear implementation plans so engineers can confidently deliver accurate tracking, while you focus on analysis, insight and impact.
This is a hybrid role, where you'll work in our London office around once a week.
Analyse web and app data to explain customer behaviour, performance drivers, and drop-offs, using GA4, Databricks, SQL and Python
Build and maintain decision-ready dashboards and reports in Tableau or Looker focused on product outcomes
Investigate and resolve data quality issues, anomalies, and GA4 tracking bugs, ensuring confidence in insights and reporting
Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and CRO teams to define what success looks like, translating product goals into clear measurement strategies
Own the tracking approach end-to-end:
1) Define events, parameters, and data layer requirements
2) Produce clear tracking and implementation plans
3) Work closely with engineers to validate delivery
Lead deep-dive analysis such as journey analysis, segmentation, funnel analysis and root cause investigations to uncover the "why" behind performance
Pull together insight from multiple sources; GA4, Databricks, Tableau, heatmaps, session recordings to tell cohesive performance stories
Translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations that help product teams evolve and improve their features
Champion best practice around privacy, consent, and data integrity, ensuring tracking and insights remain compliant and trustworthy
Strong experience analysing data in GA4, including validating and troubleshooting tracking and event data
Advanced SQL skills and experience working with Databricks (or similar data platforms)
Strong experience building Tableau dashboards and reports that support product and commercial decisions
Proven ability to work closely with product teams, using insight to influence roadmaps and decisions
Strong data storytelling skills, able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Python experience for data analysis and exploration.
Solid knowledge of digital tagging and tracking principles, including data layers and event-based measurement
Experience creating tracking specifications and implementation plans for engineers rather than implementing everything yourself
Role may close earlier due to high applications.
