Advance your sales career with LOCALiQ

Ready to take your sales career to the next level? Join LOCALiQ, part of Newsquest Media Group, as a Field Sales Executive and become a key player in helping local businesses grow through powerful, results-driven advertising solutions

This is a consultative sales role combining both office-based and field-based work. You’ll manage a portfolio of key accounts and proactively book meetings across your territory, working face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers. Representing some of the region’s most trusted local news brands, you’ll deliver tailored solutions through a mix of digital display and print products aligned to each client’s objectives. From initial contact to closing deals, you’ll build strong relationships and drive meaningful results. In addition, you’ll generate new business by strategically managing your pipeline.

This isn’t just a desk job. You’ll split your time between the office and being out in the field, visiting clients in their workplaces, gaining real insight into their operations, and demonstrating how LOCALiQ can help them grow. For this position, you must live within or near the West Suffolk territory, hold a full UK driving licence, and have access to your own vehicle for work-related travel. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday during standard office hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and win new business by proactively reaching out to potential clients across your region using cold calling and outbound sales techniques.
  • Manage and grow existing key accounts by strengthening relationships and driving further development
  • Work to clear financial targets and KPIs, consistently striving to exceed monthly revenue goals and performance benchmarks
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts, providing ongoing support, identifying upsell opportunities, and increasing client spend through strategic recommendations
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, using a consultative approach to move prospects through the sales cycle
  • Build long-term relationships with clients by providing expert advice, excellent service, and ongoing support
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign delivery for new clients
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and LOCALiQ’s evolving product suite to maintain a competitive edge
  • Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility, acting as a trusted ambassador for our regional news brands

  • Confident in securing new business over the phone – You know how to build rapport quickly, handle objections, and close deals remotely.

  • Delivers exceptional customer service – You go above and beyond to ensure clients feel supported, understood, and valued at every stage of the journey.
  • Understanding of multimedia advertising (advantageous) – You’re familiar with digital and print advertising formats and how they can work together to drive results.
