Job summary

KBM Resourcing is recruiting a Diesel Engine Mechanic in Aberdeen. The role is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours weekly, 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with on-call duties after training.

You will service, maintain and repair diesel-powered equipment, assist with pump maintenance, and handle inspections for offshore mobilisation. Candidates should have hands-on mechanical experience and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and servicing equipment, including diesels.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• A practical approach with ability to work independently or in a team.
• Forklift certification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair mechanical equipment, including diesel-powered systems.
• Assist with the repair and maintenance of pumps and associated equipment.
• Support equipment preparation and inspections for offshore mobilisation.
• Complete maintenance records, certification and documentation accurately.
• Assist with workshop operations, equipment loading and inventory management.
• Support procurement and stores management; maintain clean workshop standards.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and contribute to continuous improvement.
