Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Dialysis Assistant at the Merthyr Tydfil Dialysis Unit. You will work under a Registered Nurse, supporting a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality dialysis care and patient experience.

The role requires a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent, with full-time hours (37.5 per week) across varied shifts Mon–Sat 06:30–18:30. Comprehensive training and development are provided to support career progression.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience acceptable via NVQ/Apprenticeship/ Diploma.
• Ability to follow rigorous procedures and maintain high standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Look after individual patients and prepare dialysis equipment for treatment.
• Liaise with patients, relatives and visitors in the clinic.
• Keep dialysis equipment clean, stocked and safely stored.
• Keep patient documentation up-to-date.
• Administer medications when required.
