Job summary

CY Partners is seeking an R&D Scientist to join its diagnostics-focused team in a hands-on laboratory role. You will contribute to the development of innovative diagnostic assays across early feasibility through to scale-up, working in a commercially oriented environment.

The role emphasizes practical lab work, data-driven decision making and collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality to drive assays into manufacturing and real-world use.

Qualifications

• A degree in a scientific discipline and practical lab experience in assay development or immunoassays.
• Strong experimental design, data interpretation and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative scientific team in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform laboratory experiments to support assay development.
• Support feasibility, development and optimisation activities for assays.
• Analyse experimental results and guide further development.
• Troubleshoot assay performance and investigate challenges.
• Prepare reagents, materials and protocols; maintain records and documentation.
• Present findings to colleagues and project teams and support scale-up to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and other functions; contribute to SOPs.
