Perfect Placement in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician for a main dealership role. You will diagnose, service, and repair vehicles using advanced equipment, conduct MOT tests if licensed, and perform road tests within a supportive team.

The role offers up to £43,500 basic salary (negotiable based on experience), a 45-hour week, manufacturer training programmes, a car discount scheme, and clear career progression pathways.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent (City & Guilds).
• Diagnostic Vehicle Technician capability.
• Confident in performing a wide range of vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Conducting service checks and repairs.
• Performing diagnostics using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Carrying out MOT tests, provided you hold a current MOT license.
• Undertaking vehicle road tests.
• Providing technical advice and support to colleagues.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer procedures.

Duties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

• Conducting service checks and repairs
• Performing diagnostics using advanced diagnostic equipment
• Carrying out MOT tests, provided you hold a current MOT license
• Undertaking vehicle road tests
• Providing technical advice and support to colleagues
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer procedures
• Carrying out other workshop duties as required

Requirements of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent (City & Guilds)
• Diagnostic Vehicle Technician capability
• Confident in performing a wide range of vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
• Full UK driving licence
• Own tools
• MOT license is advantageous but not essential
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude and excellent work ethic
