Job summary

Stoneacre Motor Group is recruiting for a Diagnostic Technician - Multi Franchise in Chester. You will service, repair and diagnose a diverse range of vehicles in a state-of-the-art workshop, with full manufacturer training provided. A strong focus on quality, documentation and customer satisfaction drives the role.

Ideal candidates will hold Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent), have excellent communication skills, and possess a full UK driving licence. Electric/Hybrid qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Excellent communication skills in a customer-facing role.
• Electric/Hybrid vehicle qualification is advantageous, not essential; full training provided.
• MOT Licence would be beneficial but not essential.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and diagnostics of customer vehicles to high standards in a modern workshop.
• Complete service paperwork to manufacturer/brand standards and produce diagnostic reports.
• Road test and verify quality of work after completing jobs.

An average day as a Multi Skilled Motor Vehicle Technician...

Utilising your expanding knowledge of our manufacturer's vehicles and features you will be responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of our customers vehicles to an exemplary standard within our state of the art workshop.

Working as part of a capable and motivated team, you will complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards. You will accurately and skillfully complete and provide diagnostic reports on our customers' vehicles. In accordance with manufacture, warranty and dealer requirements, you will complete relevant service documentation, including job sheets, PDIs and service reports.

Upon the completion of jobs, through the use of diagnostic equipment and road testing, you will check the level and quality of work that has been carried out.

About you...

We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector within a technical role. As a minimum, you will be qualified to Level 2 NVQ, or equivalent, in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

You will have fantastic communication skills and thrive working in a challenging yet rewarding environment. You will have the ability to work well under pressure - it will be your technical ability that will help you overcome any challenge that is thrown your way.

An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. MOT Licence would also be beneficial but not essential. Hold a full UK driving licence.
